Stealing is Lame

If you're thinking about stealing art- don't do it. I had a piece stolen/lost/misplaced at an art show recently, and it sucked a lot. Not only did the piece have personal value, but framing and printing aren't cheap either. In happier news, I'm going back to school for my final (fifth) year next week, and I'm looking forward to it. This summer went by fast, and I predict next year will go by quick too. I'll aim to keep this blog updated with the projects I'm working on.

Polar Express

New photography on flickr. This has been the first summer where I've really taken advantage of being so close to the mountains. I've been on a number of good hikes, and I've been able to go camping a couple of times and enjoy the beautiful rockies. I've taken vacations in Montreal and Phoenix, which both have been invigorating and refreshing.

The time spent outdoors has meant less time to work on my own art this summer, although I've started a few pieces that I hope to finish before the fall. I've been loving my Holga and Diana, and there are a few new shots on my flickr.

Kitschykoo! and Anti Dull

The kitschykoo! release party at Artspot was a great night- it was well attended and a fun party all night. The latest issue of kitschykoo! was also released, so if you have a chance to pick one up: go get one. I was also recently featured in AntiDull magazine's May 2008 issue. I like the online-only format and the page turning sound effects. I'm in the process of updating my fine arts website right now, which will hopefully be finished soon with some new work up.
