About:
Chelsea Klukas is a painter, photographer, and drawing based-artist. Her work frequently uses images relating to archetypes, internalization, memory, identity, and iconography. She has worked in a variety of mediums including drawing, collage, low-tech photography, watercolour painting and textile design. She has recently begun exploration with toy camera photography, and designed and edited the book "Toy Cameras: Culture and Celebration"
Chelsea has participated in a number of gallery shows, in local venues including the Arthouse, Art Central, Artspot, and the Art Gallery of Calgary. She has also appeared in and contributed to a number of local publications including Kitsckykoo!, Fast Forward, and Beatroute.
