New Giuseppe's Website

When I was a kid I used to pass time in math class by doodling swirls and little pictures. Now I'm all grown up, and people are paying me to doodle swirls and little pictures. Awesome!

Check out one of my latest projects: logo design, identity, and website for the new Giuseppe's Italian Market. Website.

Fine Art

I've been busy with my freelance work as well as my design dayjob, so I haven't been doing much personal work lately. I'm hoping to get back to doing more drawing and painting soon. In the meantime, visit my design portfolio to see some of the projects I've been working on.

Puppet

As a graduation gift, my friend Sara is having puppeteer Stacey Rebecca construct a puppet for me based off of my design. She makes really great stuff, you can have a look here. These are the drawings I've sent her for my puppet, I'll post pictures of the finished puppet when it's done!

Design-a-thon 2009

From Friday morning to Saturday morning, I participated in GDC's design-a-thon 2009. I worked with the team from Veer for 24 hours to design for a non-profit organization. We sat in a room for 24 hours (that's three work days!)  and renamed, rebranded, and created a stationary package, website, ad campaign, and t-shirt for Child and Youth Friendly Calgary. It was a lot of fun, the people from Veer were awesome, and it was cool to see how much work we could accomplish in 24 hours.

I felt a little loopy and nauseous afterwards (it was probably the caffeine and sugar binge more than the lack of sleep), so hopefully with school being finished for good, I can swear off all-nighters for a while now.

If you're in Calgary and have a chance: check out the ACAD grad show. I have my portfolio on display, and there's a lot of other great work to see.
